Your Opportunity
Our Human Resources team is looking for a Co-op or Intern to join us in September 2023, for a 4 month work term. This position provides a unique opportunity to obtain experience working in a number of departments within Human Resources including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Leadership Development. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both remotely and from a BDO office anywhere in Canada.
Below are examples of responsibilities you may be exposed to in each department:
HR Operations
  • Complete forms for STD and LTD claims for employees
  • Facilitate and schedule company wide orientation for new employees
  • Answer general employee questions on BDO HR policies/procedures and employee benefits
  • Drafting various employment related letters including promotion letters, FTE changes, and transfer letters
Talent Acquisition
  • Creation and posting of job requisitions to the Workday Applicant Tracking system
  • Pre-screening candidates for roles and scheduling interviews
  • Preparing materials and attending on site campus recruiting events
Learning
  • Creation and maintenance of project reporting including data analytics and performance module configuration
  • Program administration including schedule management and preparation of materials and project coordination
Leadership Development
  • Communicate with stakeholders on status of projects
  • Preparing documentation to summarize survey responses during the program cycle
  • Updating materials, FAQ's, and producing webinar materials
  • Administration of logistical tasks including participant tracking and management reporting
Your Experience & Education
  • You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork
  • You are able to maintain confidence and exercise good judgement
  • You are currently working towards a degree/diploma and enrolled in a formal co-op program, focused in Human Resources
  • Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • You have strong PC skills including Excel
