Job Description

We are looking to fill the position of HR & Administration Assistant atFernie Alpine Resort. Everyday offers new, exciting challenges and opportunities. You are savvy, adaptable, and ready to work with people at all levels of the organization ensuring business is operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills, experience in an office environment and have an excellent knowledge of MSWord and Excel. You Will:

  • Post jobs on StartDate and all external websites
  • Email correspondence, internal and external
  • Responsible for checking and processing employee onboarding documents
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • Pre-screen applicants via StartDate Tracking System
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Assist with staff program preparations, promotions, posters
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Human Resources and Administrative support work as required
  • Staff Newsletter production
  • Safety Management Program record keeping
  • Recruitment correspondence for all resort applicants
  • Responsible for tracking and following up on applicants’ status in the hiring process

You Have:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required
  • Previous experience in HR work an asset
  • Previous experience in office environment required
  • Strong time management skills required, organized, independent worker with an eye for details
  • Previous experience with Mailchimp program an asset
  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills
