Director, Corporate It Jobs

Our client is a leading global firm in the datacenter space and is growing their team in Mississauga.

Reporting to VP, IT, this role is responsible for the overall management of the company’s Corporate IT systems, ensuring their availability, security, and effective operation.

Director, Corporate IT will lead a team of IT in-sourced and / or out-sourced individuals and work closely with other departments to ensure that the Corporate IT solutions support the organization's goals and objectives. Qualified candidates should have ten years of experience in full lifecycle management of back-office IT hardware and software solutions, as well as three years in a management role leading staff and projects. The position also requires direct experience in Microsoft 365 management at an advanced level. Candidates should be self-starters that can thrive in a fast-paced, collegial environment. Approx. 30% travel will be required (may occasionally exceed 30% during critical times).

Please note that the role is hybrid - at least 3 days/week in office is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate internally and externally on client project statuses, planned changes, and outages.
• Deliver on technical Corporate IT and Microsoft 365 projects. Examples of technical projects include but are not limited to:
• Manage hardware / software procurement and asset / license management of all Corporate IT Assets, with budget tracking.
• Develop plans, training, and communications materials to support user adoption of Corporate IT solutions, including upstream policies and procedures.
• Lead the technical teams in tracking, planning, and training on new releases / updates of new Corporate IT SaaS features.
• Provide technical lead role for system administration and operations of all Corporate IT infrastructure, including endpoints, endpoint management, and SaaS products as well as security, compliance, and governance efforts.
• Deliver quality Microsoft 365 technical solutions with a security framework in mind and ensure the ongoing improvement and implementation of Cyber Security best practices and compliance.
• Lead the planning, design, development and deployment of Microsoft 365-based Productivity and Security solutions; work closely with business areas to recognize the need for various apps within Microsoft 365 and work on configuration and roll out of the solutions.

o Microsoft 365 Tenant hardening – Security and Compliance Centre

o Microsoft 365 Business Voice design and implementation.

o Intune design and deployment, automated app deploy and patching.

o MDM (Jamf and Intune).

o Multi-factor authentication and Microsoft 365 security enhancements.

o Azure AD redesign.

o Onboarding & Offboarding automation.

o Corporate IT ticketing, knowledge base, KPI metrics.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

• Ability to apply corporate Change Management policies during the day-to-day operations and while under incident, in a calm, collected manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Autonomous with team spirit.
• Ability to travel to corporate facilities globally.
• 10+ years in Enterprise IT Administration, 3+ years people and project management.
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to embrace and permeate the company Culture and Core Convictions throughout the organization consistently and effectively.
• Ability to analyze a set of problems or ad hoc workflow, document, improve and train others to hand off to long term
• Ability to multi-task, balance priorities and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft 365 Intermediate or Expert level certifications (365 Identity and Services, 365 Mobility and Security, Enterprise Administrator Expert)
