Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Reports to: Senior Management

The successful candidate will manage and direct various departmental managers on a daily basis, encompassing Ground Shipments, Warehouse, Freight Forwarding operations in various locations (YYZ / YVR / YOW Branches) on an ongoing basis, serving as a resource to direct daily operations and provide oversight regarding regulatory and compliance issues. Additionally, liaison with internal and external customers to ensure continued growth, development, and customer satisfaction. You bring your skill as a Senior Manager, problem solver, innovator, and facilitator. You have a hands—on work ethic when necessary but also work with your team to develop and improve all aspects of the operation
Key Accountabilities:
Daily oversight of Warehouse, Dispatch, Forwarding and Company objectives
Primary contact related to CBSA Sufferance Warehouse and Transport Canada Regulated Agent Program, oversight of compliance.
Oversight of MTO and DOT regulations related to Company operations
Senior contact liaison for customers and our primary suppliers
Provide exceptional customer service to our clients via verbal and written communication
Special Projects related to industry RFQ’s and business opportunities on an ad hoc basis
Serve as an additional resource/coach to operational staff as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a transportation related field, (Freight forwarding, Logistics, 3PL Etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal skills related to frontline staff and frontline management and an adherence to daily disciplines and work routines
Strong written skills related to internal and external correspondence
Working knowledge of basic Customs / Compliance and Bonded Warehouse functions
A strong sense of overall commitment and responsibility to the operation of our business
Able to take direction at a senior level and be flexible to the needs of our customers and suppliers
Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience with Cargo Wise logistics or similar logistics software an asset
Ability to problem solve and made key decisions in a faced-paced environment
