Surrounded by green space in beautiful Port Perry Ontario, we manufacture a complex product vertically from raw materials to finished goods, while also operating firmware and software development departments. We integrate a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies, such as surface mount electronics, laser machining, CNC machining, and mold making for composite materials. We are continuously expanding and evolving our facilities to support growth and development.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our facility. The Director of Operations is the first point of contact for all strategic and high-impact operations decisions. In addition,they liaise with department heads to conduct needs analyses, propose remedies to constraints, and document new standard operating procedures, systems, and processes.
Duties and Accountabilities
- Conceive and implement operational strategies and procedures to enhance productivity, in cooperation with the executive team
- Other duties and projects as required
- Participate in hiring processes where appropriate
- Oversee concerns of the Administration, Operations, Construction, Facility Maintenance, Development and Production departments
- Oversee the purchasing budget; divisional and company-wide
- Coordinate with other departments, such as manufacturing, sales, marketing and finance, to align operational activities and budgets with business objectives
- Manage facility and capacity expansion
- In cooperation with the executive team, implement company vision via strategic organization development initiatives
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Develop effective inter-departmental communications
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Operations Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Masters in operations management, business administration, logistics or supply chain management
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Experience in professional audio is a bonus
- Experience with financial management and budgeting.
- Proven experience in operations management in a complex manufacturing environment
