Position Overview:
As the Director of Operations at Yogen Früz®, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day activities of the company's operations. Yogen Früz is a well-established global franchise specializing in treat and snack category. Yogen Früz® family of brands include Sweet Jesus, Yogurty’s®, Yeh!®, Swensen’s® and Pinkberry®.
This is a key leadership position, reporting to the Vice President, that will head up Operations and oversee cross-functional teams. This position requires excellent organization, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure the company’s business objectives are met.
The individual must possess extensive background and experience leading efforts across multiple functions including R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, Training and Operations.
Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy and Planning:
- Identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies to enhance the company's performance.
- Develops and implements comprehensive operational strategies in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Franchise Management and Communication:
- Provide guidance and support to franchisees in optimizing their store operations and achieving their business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between franchise owners and the Yogen Früz support center team, conveying important information, updates, and feedback.
- Collaborate with franchisees and licensees to ensure adherence to brand standards, operational protocols, and product quality.
Training and Development:
- Train and develop franchisees’ capabilities including inventory management, P&L analysis, and local store marketing.
- Ensure implementation, training and follow-up on product rollouts, programs, campaigns, and promotions.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to address operational issues and improve overall performance, including but not limited to delivery platform updates, loyalty program, and ops. evaluation.
Customer Experience:
- Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring all operational aspects contribute to exceptional customer experiences.
- Address customer feedback and complaints promptly to maintain a positive brand reputation.
- Administer loss prevention audits and investigations for immediate remedy.
Inventory Management and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain consistent product quality and service standards across all locations in North America.
- Optimize inventory management processes to minimize waste and maintain adequate stock levels.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports for executive management, highlighting operational achievements and challenges.
- Work closely with franchise owners to analyze financial reports and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analysis to assess operational performance and opportunities.
- Ability to pull and analyze POS data.
Leadership and Management:
- Ensure comprehensive and meaningful top-down communication including product rollouts, campaigns, and programs.
- Define and oversee new support center staff on-boarding and training program.
- Lead cross-functional teams at the support center level by establishing efficient workflows and streamline communication to maximize productivity and teamwork.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Cross-functional team management experience is preferred.
- Multi-units franchise relations experience is preferred.
- Min. 5 years experience in a senior management or director-level role in a food service industry is a must.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
