Director of Operations and Fulfillment


About the role:


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations and Fulfillment to lead and optimize our organization's daily operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all aspects of our business. As a results-oriented professional, you will oversee our company's resources, including personnel, processes, and inventory, to achieve our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational data to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to enhance the company's operations, encompassing fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and sales, to develop and implement integrated strategies that drive operational excellence.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of operational data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor and control the departmental budget, ensuring resource allocation is cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of the operations team and warehouse personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized operating policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Continuously enhance fulfillment and warehousing processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong track record of successfully supervising and leading teams of at least 10+ employees directly.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably in a goods/inventory management environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required to for this role.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Extensive experience working with inventory, forecasting and distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications, knowledge of programming languages is an asset.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing operational strategies to drive process improvements and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a definite plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
