In this role, you'll be in involved in a wide variety of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
• Assisting with the annual budget and forecasting
• Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts
• Financial Reporting
• General day-to-day accounting
• Accounts Receivable
• Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
• Other related ad-hoc activities as necessary
• Assisting and possibly leading year-end audit preparation and processing
• Lead, encourage and mentor the accounting team

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
• Monthly Statements experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Budget Processes
• CPA Professional designation
• Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
• Foundational knowledge in month end closings
• Experience in a healthcare or similar environment a strong asset
• 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
• Ability to facilitate and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Expertise in budget forecasting
• Fluently bilingual in both official languages considered a preferred asset
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
