DEPARTMENT: Finance and Administration
SUPERVISOR: Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager of Finance manages the financial resources of our Company. This role is responsible for accurate budget planning, data entry, and providing effective insights and financial advice that allow the executive management team to make the best financial business decisions.
This is a full-time permanent role based at 365 Sports Inc Meaford Headquarters and would require the incumbent to work approximately 40 hours per week:
Monday to Friday in a typical office environment: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Due to our event-based environment, the schedule may vary due to business needs
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accounting staff
- Corporate FYE, GST/HST/QST tax remittances
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ensure a strong accounting environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability
- Ensure the P&L is accurate and categorized by various classes
- Reconcile balance sheet to ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation
- Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory reporting requirements:
- Monitor all financial activity on a daily basis and ensure it is accurately inputted in Company Accounting Software (Quickbooks Online) in a timely manner
BUDGETING, ANALYZING, AND REPORTING
- Work with each department head to create and manage various event-specific budgets
- Provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities
- Analyze financial data and market trends
- Generate and provide accurate weekly/monthly financial reports (Balance Sheet, P&L, AP/AR) to the CEO and COO
- Produce accurate forecasts which enable each department to react to changes in the business and improve profit growth in their department
- Analyze information, projected sales/expenses against actual sales/expenses and create budget plans accordingly
- Generate and provide annual company budget and forecasts to the CEO and COO
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STAFFING
- Prepare and process semi-monthly Staff Payroll, Subcontractors Payroll, ROEs, and annual T4’s
- Maintain and update employee records
- Manage payroll and associated duties
- Source deduction remittance, Employee Health Benefits, Vacation Pay, Staff Attendance, and Workers Compensation for multiple provinces
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
EDUCATION
- Post Secondary Education relating to Finance/Accounting
- Preferred and/or working towards Certified General Accountant (CGA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Master’s degree preferred)
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Google Drive/Docs, MS Office: Excel knowledge is mandatory
- Proficiency in Mac and PC
- Proficiency with accounting software required: Quickbooks Online knowledge is mandatory
- Experience in bookkeeping and understanding of Accounting Practices
- Prior experience in a finance management role with effective leadership ability
- Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
- 2+ years' minimum experience working in Finance
- Experience handling sensitive information with demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

REQUIREMENTS
- Submission of a Criminal Record and Background Check
- Submission of 3 references
- Legally able to work in Canada
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
