Principle Accountabilities:

• The Associate Manager, Marketing Finance will report into the Marketing Finance Manager and provide financial leadership to a chocolate, sweets or seasons portfolio.
• The Associate Manager plays a business-critical role by providing analytics and insights that support the delivery of the strategic imperatives for Hershey Canada.
• The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration and analysis skills.
• The Associate Manager will work with all levels of the Hershey Canada organization to understand current results, future expectations, and the business drivers that provide opportunities and/or risks to the division. This position is an indispensable partner of the business teams, well positioned to lead thinking on how to drive the business.

Planning and Analysis

• Brilliant execution of ad-hoc analysis.
• Will lead the annual and long-term financial plans for a $600M portfolio.
• Provide insights on emerging trends and identify short- and long-term risks and opportunities.
• Analyze the structural economics of our strategic brands and develop actionable and sustainable profit improvement plans and performance guardrails.
• Will drive transparency by developing sustainable reports and tools that will assist your cross functional business partners in making profitable business decisions.

Innovation & Strategic Projects

• Will lead comprehensive business cases from end to end, advising on NPV, IRR and Payback metrics.
• Support the Marketing Finance Manager with sku and cost optimization initiatives.
• Lead, influence and support various strategic and cross functional projects

Business Partnership

• Will lead, embrace and have a passion for process improvement and implement in collaboration with your business partners.
• Will lead monthly and quarterly fitness reviews for their portfolio of brands.
• Transform marketing managers into business managers by leading financial acumen training and regularly coaching stakeholders on how to drive profitable revenue growth.

Direct Marketing Expense

• Will oversee and govern direct marketing expense tracking, reporting and governance across the organization under the guidance of the Marketing Finance Manager.
• Will provide analysis and guidance on spend productivity and spend effectiveness.

Systems

• Will use technology like Alteryx and PowerBI, along with internal Hershey systems, to develop insights and solutions to complex business problems.

Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements:

• A strong business contributor who demonstrates strategic thinking, analysis and leadership skills.
• A proactive self-starter who is challenges the status quo and seeks to continuously improve
• Ability to independently analyze, interpret and integrate multiple data sources, identify issues/opportunities and implement solutions.
• Solid understanding and familiarity of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects that are cross functional in scope.
• Fluency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are critical.
• Effective communicator with the ability to develop strong relationships and influence all levels of the organization.

Education Requirements:

• Undergraduate business degree, MBA, CPA or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive finance experience.
