Accounting Manager Jobs

Renaissance Personnelalong with our client in Chatham-Kent, is recruiting for amAccounting Manager.TheAccounting Managerwill be integral at making sure that all daily accounting tasks are fulfilled.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal controls processes and systems.
• Prepare accounting reports, as requested
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
• Assist with tax audits
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure company follows GAAP principles
• Maintain and monitor company accounting records and conduct monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Oversee processing HST and other Government dues
• Support management with corporate requirements including but not limited to: legal corporate filings, tax implications and planning, government filings and so on
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Authorizing cheque payments and wire authorizations
• Be able to identify, troubleshoot and investigate discrepancies which may arise in file preparation and discuss with appropriate parties
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Monthly Accruals and Investigation of outstanding items
• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
• US Sales Tax Reconciliations

Qualifications

• Intermediate/Advance level Excel
• Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Managerial skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Self-starter and results driven
• 5 years of accounting experience required
• Currently enrolled or completing requirements of the Canadian CPA designation
• Bachelor’s Degree
