Job Description

iPSS is a cybersecurity company based in Ottawa, Canada, established in 2002. We provide cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to clients in both the public and private sectors.

The Director of Finance and Contract Management is a leadership role accountable for overseeing financial operations and legal compliance within the organization. The Director of Finance and Contract Management collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making and ensure financial and legal integrity across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analyses;
  • Conduct financial and legal feasibility studies for new projects, investments, and business initiatives; and
  • Identify and assess financial and legal risks and develop strategies for their mitigation;
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO;
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel;
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, clients, and partners;
  • Oversee day to day financial operations, including bookkeeping, cash management, budgeting and forecasting;
  • Lead and manage finance and legal teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and compliance;

    • Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in financial management software and legal databases.
    • Proficient in reviewing public sector contracts for both products and services.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; and
    • Prior experience in IT, software, professional services or Value-Added Reseller companies;
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis;
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, legal compliance, and contract negotiation;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • CPA designation or equivalent certification;
