Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Communications Specialist (HR) who will be responsible for providing communications advice and guidance to assigned businesses/groups, on communication principles/programs/approaches, effective ways to communicate and on implementation of solutions. The successful candidate will leads and participates in defining communication plans designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; identifies appropriate distribution channels.
Responsibilities:
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Develops change strategy that enables leaders to promote change and execute the change; ensures stakeholders want to make the change.
- Collaborates with internal/external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development, and implementation of change. Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Identifies resistance to the change and builds required plans to overcome objectives through communications and training to implement and sustain the change.
- Monitors and tracks the adoption of the change and addresses any issues. Implements any corrective actions required and celebrates successes.
- Proactively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development, and implementation of communication solutions.
- Builds and executes communications plans to drive awareness and understanding, including analyzing audiences, developing key messages, and identifying the right channel, frequency, and sender.
- Coordinates, distributes and publishes communication solutions.
- Develops change management solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on the implementation of change; evaluates the changing environment to understand the complexity and impact of change to develop a program that meets required objectives.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Reviews material to ensure it complies with relevant quality standards, including translation requirements.
Desired Skill Set:
- Sound understanding of Change management
- 3-5 years of experience in Communication and Execution
- Solid background in Marketing, Advertising, and Communications
- Strong Influence, collaboration and team skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to Project Work with an understanding of cycle times
- Post-Secondary Education
- References to doing project work, specifically within the realm of HR
- Experience with writing content
- Experience in building job aids
- Working within a communications team in an organization/ change management on a project
