Hr Specialist – Continuous Improvement Jobs

5-10 years of experience in mining, petroleum, manufacturing or any heavy industry

5 years experience in manufacturing/ tooling; 3 years program management experience; P.Eng designation is preferred

Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.

Post Secondary Education (Community College or Undergrad Degree) in the one of the following:

Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail

Extensive knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG)

Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral

Minimum 2 years of project management experience

B. Sc. in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology and/or Quality Assurance/Management

Management of customer complaints, including liaising with the department responsible for the defect, BERICAP Customer Service Leads and the customer

What Skills and Experience You Will Bring:

Black Belt certification in LEAN/DMAIC methodologies from an accredited provider an asset

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast paced, manufacturing environment with a plastics background preferred

Coach managers on Health and Safety matters

5+ years of Health and Safety experience

Must have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills

Create a safety program and protocols

Develop and implement Health and Safety plans for the company (hazards audits, legislation)

Participate and advise in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings

Knowledge and experience with PowerApps, project management, agile methodologies

1-3 years experience in Retail, Supply Chain, and Remote Operations

1-3 years experience in Analytics

Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and/or SSRS experience

Intermediate experience with VBA and SQL

Demonstrated experience in data management and data analytics using tools such as PowerBI preferred.

Manage the data integrity of the HR Master Data in SAP, ADP, and other databases including Benefits and Group Retirement.

Partner with Regional HRIS to develop HR metrics and various dashboard tools to provide information and decision-making tools for senior management.

Provide document tracking and records management for employee records and compliance areas.

Assist with background checks, and partner with the HRBPs and Regional Talent Acquisition Team to assist with general candidate management activities.

Strong technical capabilities with HRIS systems required. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and ADP strongly preferred.

Be the primary contact for HR benefit services and drive a positive experience for the employees

Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel skills)

Process employee’s onboard/offboard benefits (RRSP/DPSP, Group Insurance) and ensure system accuracy in employee data.

Perform various administrative tasks related to benefits, pensions, and disability cases

Resolve benefits escalations from our internal business partners

Fluent in English and French (oral and written), strong communication skills

Has experience in process reengineering/mapping and continuous improvement;

Holds a Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt level, an asset.

Identify processes with opportunities for improvement

Improve and implement new procedures

Assume a consulting role with the teams

Work in collaboration with different departments such as sales, business development, product development and corporate teams to foster collaboration and connectivity

Strong project management skills and ability to oversee multiple projects at the same time

Lean / Six Sigma certification required; Black Belt certification preferred

Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Warehousing, Kaizen, 5S etc.).

Experience in organizational effectiveness and implementing / driving best practices

Experience in successfully implementing change within an organization

University degree in HR management or relevant discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Partner with business management to achieve business results by providing strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and advice concerning Human Resource matters.

Facilitate the development and management of the workforce including recruitment, hiring, training & development, career development, goal setting, retention etc.

Provide leadership implementing performance management, compensation, and training & development programs.

Coach and mentor client leaders to handle employee issues including performance management, attendance management and other conduct related issues.

Identify, review and provide direction related to organizational and employment strategies to meet Human Resources requirements.

Experience in working in payroll, employment tax requirements, employee administration and navigating through a matrix organizational structure.

Proven ability to execute on change initiatives and risk management activities

Resolve escalated employee concerns using appropriate business judgment to manage customer expectations and protect or enhance HSBC Group purpose and values

Bachelors degree in business, related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three years proven and progressive human resources experience, or equivalent.

Advanced Excel skills such as formulas, pivot tables, Vlook ups. And Macro is an asset.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Engineering.

Demonstrate leadership by mentoring production staff and promote knowledge transfer between teams

Develop a curriculum for Lean training and establish a structure in the business to improve the lean knowledge across the business

2-3 years’ experience as a Continuous Improvement Specialist in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Hands on experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.

Strong capabilities in planning, organizing and process control.

Develops change management solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.

Sound understanding of Change management

Working within a communications team in an organization/ change management on a project

Reviews material to ensure it complies with relevant quality standards, including translation requirements.

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

3-5 years of experience in Communication and Execution

At least five years of Human Resources experience in combination with Project Management experience

Assist newly acquired management teams and employees with orientations and training

A problem solver with exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities

Post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources

Deliver superior People and Performance due diligence reports, pre-close planning activities and manage integration workplans
