Our client in the non-profit industry is looking for a Unilangual or Bilingual Payroll/HR Specialist to join their team for a full-time permanent role. This role will be in office once every 2 weeks. In this role you will manage full-cycle Payroll for employees across Canada and participate in HR activities and projects.
The successful candidate will have payroll experience remittances of gross payroll; CPP, EI, Federal and Provincial taxes, including Quebec, group RRSP / TFSA contributions; WCB/WSIB and group insurance remittances.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle payroll for employees across Canada
• Evaluate all received documentation from HR colleagues and other departments (e.g., Finance) in order to process employee payroll
• Take responsibility for payment-related tasks, including processing earnings, vacation pay, statutory pay, overtime, garnishments, retroactive adjustments, terminations, ROEs (Records of Employment), etc.
• Maintain accurate and detailed payroll records that comply with statutory requirements, ensuring they are suitable for audit purposes
• Assist with employee relations tasks and documents
• Conduct HR presentations to team members
• Manage HR administrative duties such as benefits, reports and programs
• Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
• Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification with the National Payroll Institute
• 3+ years of experience completing full-cycle payroll for various provinces including Quebec
• Strong communication skills in both English and French a strong asset
• Knowledge of HR practices such as employee relations, HRIS, HR administrative duties considered a strong asset
• Experience with Dayforce considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills
