Research Capital Corporation has an immediate opening for a Cage Administration Clerk in our Vancouver office.This is an intermediate level position within the financial services industry.In this role, you will be responsible for daily tasks within the securities cage including but not limited to;

• Preparing outgoing and incoming cheques
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail
• Reviewing incoming documentation
• Opening and updating accounts
• Bank deposits and verifying bank wires
• Accurately processing of deposits into client accounts.

Candidates ideally have experience and knowledge of security cage operations, policies and procedures and be able to work within tight deadlines. Must have strong organizational skills and be capable of multi-tasking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interaction with other departments within Operations (Credit, Name & Address)
• Receipt/processing of physical certificates
• Responding to daily inquiries from Investment Advisors
• Highly detail oriented and able to effectively prioritize work to ensure maximum productivity
• Issuance/certification of client cheques
• Controllingthe movement of physical certificates
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication

• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Keen observation skills
• Task-oriented; oversee tasks are completed accurately
• Quick learner; willing to learn new technologies; ISM, cheque printing programs and online banking deposit system
• Able to work in a fast-paced, sales oriented environment
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel)
• Attention to detail
• Good with numbers and reconciliation
• Works well individually or as part of a team atmosphere

Your Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ISM/CDS/MS Office (Outlook)/Excel/Word
• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience (within the brokerage industry is preferred)
