About the Position:

The Technical Support/ Help Desk member is responsible for acting as a liaison between internal and external users with the MIS department. This member will be responsible for ensuring all required information systems are functioning properly, accurately and requests are executed promptly. This role directly supports hardware as well as some software requirements for various locations of Cardinal Couriers, reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities:

· Provide Tier 1 support for all IT Products and services to Internal and External users, including clients on client sites.

· Provide PC, LAN and mobile device troubleshooting,

· Image and configure hard drives and end user machines,

· Install and troubleshoot approved applications,

· Identify and escalate issues requiring urgent attention to a higher level of knowledge,

· Physically configure, install and provide training on shipping systems and the internet shipping portal,

· Ensure all customer shipping systems are accurately running on a daily basis,

· Maintain and update shipping systems, driver routes and hardware inventory database,

· Ensure all Cubing and re-weigh systems are accurately running on a daily basis,

· Provide technical support and training to all day drivers and day owner operators with regards to scanners and tablets,

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Ability to provide basic repair, configure and administer Intermec scanners and 3G/GPS Modems
• Ability to repair, configure and administer computer, cubing and reweight hardware.
• Post-secondary training in Computer System Technology required.
• Working knowledge of .net environment, Web Services and SQL 2005/2008 databases.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a related work environment
• Proficient in using, installing, and supporting Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
