Technical Sales Support Jobs

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Support Representative that will work in a high impact, fast paced, deadline driven environment and will primarily be responsible for assisting in the response effort to sales proposals (e.g., RFPs, RFIs and RFQs) for both prospective and existing clients. This role will require excellent communication, time management, technical writing expertise and project management skills. Also, this role will help the sales team demonstrate and answer technical questions for customers and potential clients. This role will also work with our TSM’s and assist with following up on leads to help drive new business funnel and/or reach out to clients on whitespace opportunities and help to support company initiatives. The successful candidate will have team orientation, adaptability, positive attitude, the ability to excel, and a willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Help to drive our FOIA responses rates and work with the proposal team to help collect data to help us to identify best practices and areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Perform writing and editing duties to ensure proposal responses are compliant, clear,
• Facilitate bid/no-bid calls along with the sales rep.
• Monitor RFP aggregator sites and customer procurement sites for upcoming bid opportunities.
• Train the Sales organization on proposal topics and best practices as assigned.
• Work independently or cross functionally with other departments to assist in creating responses for proposals that highlight our value proposition as it relates to the customers’ goals and requirements.
• Assist in Customer’s meetings where needed from a technical and/or sales perspective.
• Help Sales team prefer Demo’s of our technology to potential customers and clients.
• Book and facilitate RFP kickoff calls and regular status calls with the sales rep and team.
• Simultaneously manage multiple RFP responses on tight schedules and under elevated pressure.
• Help TSM’s in lead follow-up and assist in reaching out to customer/prospects on whitespace opportunities and promotions.
• Assist in reviewing proposals prior to submission to the customer.
• Advise management on proposal matters.
• Develop and cultivate strong relationships with relevant areas of the business to help strengthen partnerships and success within the team.
• Support all activities related to the assembly, production, and delivery of a compliant proposal on time, in the format(s) specified.
• Assist in owning the management of multiple proposals and their lifecycles, with a focus on project management and quality assurance.
• Take the lead on the RFP requirements and work with the sales rep to ensure it is distributed to the relevant team members for completion.
• Enforce approved style guidelines and ensure a consistent look and feel of all outgoing proposals.
• Using RFP software to help create efficient, timely and professional RFP responses.

Qualifications:

• Direct proposal management experience in high-tech industry is preferred.
• Direct experience with Federal government bids required.
• APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technical Writing, English, Communications, or Journalism.
• 2+ years experience in a similar role in a high-volume proposal writing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, CRM and Adobe applications.
• Experience in technical writing proposals for education or other key verticals an asset.
