Job Description
  1. Education:
  2. Undergraduate degree in Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Experience:
  4. More than five (5) years’ experience delivering technical BA services on IT projects.
  5. Skills and Expertise:
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the following areas:
  • Developing presentations and reports to support the Project Manager;
  • Modeling and documenting key features and specifications of technical solutions;
  • Managing technical staff to achieve desired business outcomes;
  • Supporting quality of the delivered business solution by ensuring the structure, design and development of the deliverables follows applicable standards;
  • Supporting the development of change management and communication plans;
  • Aligning business systems with new business processes;
  • Reporting directly to senior executives and executive level management.
  • Applying application portfolio management techniques to manage multiple workstreams to identified transformation objectives;
  • Managing senior technical and business staff; Applying leading business transformation methodologies supported by research;
  • Identification, defining, modeling and documenting business needs, including drafting current and future state business processes;
  • Developing and presenting business cases including feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost benefit analysis of solution alternatives;
  • Leading multi-discipline teams in business transformation initiatives applying leading business transformation methodologies;
  • Leading multi-discipline teams in complex business transformation initiatives;
  • Reporting directly to senior management;
  • Communicating with executives and senior management on sensitive changes to business operations in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment;
  • Interacting professionally and possessing the ability to productively engage with a wide variety of stakeholders in diverse roles (e.g. executives, contractors, technical experts, end-users);
  • Leading business process re-engineering initiatives across departments and/or the organization;
  • Developing business process and service delivery plans for business areas in line with a service-oriented organization;
  • Working collaboratively with clients and vendors/suppliers to develop and implement automated business processes, service level agreements, service management processes and application maintenance support requirements;
  • Contributing end-user business requirements and context to training and educational materials;
  • Communicating with executives and senior management on changes to business operations;
  • Developing measurement tools to track operational improvements;
  • Documenting product and funding requirements for development and ongoing support;
  • Developing business process and service delivery plans to successfully transform the business from the “as is” structure to a “to be” structure
  • Contributing to the development of work plans;
  • Ensuring performance of technical reviews and audits and obtain required approvals before implementation;
  • Developing outcomes measurement plan and benefit evaluation frameworks; and
  • Developing presentations, reports and submissions to secure approval and funding from Executive or Treasury Board;
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the following areas: BA provides a range of capabilities to advise and assist organization through the analysis of a variety of operational matters including business process assessments, design, and deployment. The analysis may range from generating explicit descriptions of individual business processes as currently performed, to designing desired future business processes, service delivery changes and requirements.

  2. The selected candidate should be available full-time (35 hours/week) and remain in-place for the duration of the projects, unless written notification has been provided and approved by the Client.
