Technical Business Analyst Jobs

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst for an eleven (11) month engagement based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a hybrid work model for this role.

Job Details:

• Conducts pre-assessment and impact analysis before implementing solutions.
• Collaborates with Development team for post-implementation support documentation
• Identifies system deficiencies, proposes improvements, and performs data analysis.
• Coordinates technical tasks in relation to privacy review and cybersecurity assessments.
• Translates business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Develops, reviews, and monitors technical requirements (architecture, network, servers, database, systems, workstations and other system hardware and software related requirements)
• Creates system, user, and process documentation, contributes to training plans.
• Improves efficiency through workflow development, evaluates and recommends technical procedures.
• Manage technical requirements reference documents.
• Tracks requirement development and delivery, tests deliverables against requirements.
• The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating technical work between departments, clients, and third-party vendors, elicit feedback or requirements, analyze, and recommend solutions to improve system operations.
• Ensures adherence to security measures and requirements in technical operations.
• Develops and implements test scripts, acceptance reports, and tracks pass/fail performance.
• Provide coordination and liaison with internal and external users of the system.
• Coordinate tasks and activities with partner agencies to accomplish technical and operational deliverables required in the project.
• Work with third party vendors in preparing and planning solution implementation.
• Conducts internal process audits, generates findings reports, and implements test processes.
• Collaborate with Operations BA for any tasks or activities required that would impact operations.
• Prepares, lead and coordinate test plans and testing activities.
• Maintains system documentation, architecture diagrams, and network diagrams.
• Analyzes system changes and their impact on operations, prepares technical designs and cybersecurity measures.
• Facilitates change management by providing expertise to affected units during automation.
• The Technical Business Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that the NG9-1-1 projects achieves objectives and successful transition to new technology, processes, and practices by overseeing the design and operations of the technical components of the solution, producing technical specifications, technical documentations, and technical training materials.
• Researches alternative options or system solutions, compares processes with industry standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in Avaya, Komutel, NICE systems, and Motorola Radio Telephone Interconnect
• Prior experience with NG9-1-1 transitions and project teams
• Candidate required to be available in person for meetings and workshops mainly in the Vancouver area.
• Completion of a university degree in computer science, engineering, or business with a technology focus on call handling solutions, preferably certification in ITIL or similar service delivery framework, or technical certifications plus sound related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Certificate in business analysis from the IIBA
• Prior experience in contact center systems
• PMP certification

Assignment Length

11-month contract with the potential for two (2) extensions of six (6) months each.

Assignment Location:

Main office located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Consultants may also be based in Victoria or Kamloops, but note will be required to attend meetings at Vancouver location through-out the contract.
