Position Description

We are looking for a technically minded Subject Matter Expert to engage with Compliance and Technology peers to expand Trade Surveillance requirements.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will operate within realms of stakeholder relationship and collaboration, and work within a strong Agile squad. Strong client stakeholder skills will be paired with ability to build and then mobilize knowledge of data and system workflows related to institutional trading and will require technical ability to perform such analysis to successfully execute this work. In this role you will be able to expand your domain and technical knowledge with working with leading colleagues in this space and take on mission critical projects supported by business and regulatory objectives. Agile squads you will operate in are highly empowered and proactive teams to help deliver the best quality outcomes for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the business to help translate or fine tune high-level business requirements into detailed functional, testable specifications (using BDD frameworks).
• Work as a member of an Agile squad in the development of trade surveillance controls.
• Act as SME to business working with them on system and data questions.
• Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, recommend alternative solutions and project strategies to come with the most robust and commercial solutions.

Skills Required

• Demonstrates significant discretion and respect for confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong SQL and Data Analysis skills
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of Agile SDLC concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective organizational and prioritization skills- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), Jira, and Share point
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to clearly and concisely communicate with internal and external partners cross-divisionally
• Relevant and substantial work experience with business requirements definition and management (end to end), structured analysis, process design, and use case documentation
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

Skills Desired

• Knowledge of Java, Scala or Python is a plus
• Financial product experience preferred (equities and/or fixed income and/or derivatives)
• Experience building visualizations such as with Tableau or ad-hoc notebook technologies
