We’re looking for a Senior Manager Design to join our growing company and play a key role in our customer experience by ensuring each purchase ends in a smile!

The Senior Design Manager is responsible for leading our design team, ensuring the consistent and impactful delivery of design across all digital touchpoints. This role involves directing the visual aesthetics and user experience of our website, maintaining a mobile-first mindset within our responsive and maintaining our design system throughout our digital ecosystem. Their focus is not limited to the site's design and content but extends to all touchpoints such as site, email & product photography. The Senior Design Manager will play a crucial role in continuing to enhance our site’s visual experience, promoting better engagement, and continually enhancing & creating an outstanding overall user experience.

In this role you will:

• Partner with IT for technical optimization and with vendors and agencies to ensure productive partnerships and delivery of design requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all promotions, content, and new photography that meet site guidelines
• Lead user experience (UX) design to optimize site structure and content, while staying up-to-date with emerging trends in design and user experience.
• Oversee all design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they are delivered on time, & according to plan
• Lead and manage a team of web graphic designers, & UX Designers overseeing all design and content of the website
• Maintain a focus on mobile-first design, ensuring alignment with site design system and according to the site production calendar schedule.
• Collaborate with different teams such as product, marketing, sales, etc., to ensure a seamless experience across all company outputs
• Collaborate with the digital team to ensure digital ads align with site experience and lead the design direction for the email channel, including ensuring template design is consistent with our site design system. Conduct A/B testing to optimize visual appeal and engagement
• Champion site designs and content that are visually appealing, relevant, and regularly updated in order to maximize revenue vis A/B testing.
• Use data analysis to inform design decisions, including website usage statistics, customer feedback, and A/B testing results. Handle any design-related crises that might arise, ensuring swift resolution
• Lead strategic design planning, providing mock-ups to drive continuous innovation

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

• Experienced in vendor management and working with external agencies or vendors, managing relationships, and ensuring delivery of requirements
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design principles. Familiarity with web development processes and constraints
• A Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or a related field
• Experience with site design management, creating and implementing responsive web design following industry best practices to meet clients’ requirements
• Experience in creating digital advertisements and email marketing materials. Familiarity with A/B testing and using data to optimize designs
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams, such as marketing, product, sales, etc
• Extensive design skills and knowledge of graphic design, web design, UX design, and mobile-first design principles. Ability to create high fidelity mockups, wireframes demonstrating good understanding of type, layout and creativity Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, etc.
• Experience in managing design projects from conception to delivery, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Excellent strategic thinking abilities and experience contributing to brand strategy and integrating design considerations across various company outputs
• Familiarity with data analysis, tools and methodologies, with experience using data to inform design decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and vendors
• Experience with crisis management such as website outages or negative customer feedback, with an ability to ensure swift resolution
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• At least 5 years of e-commerce/web design experience preferred. Retail and Fashion Apparel background would a definite asset
• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
