Distribution Project Manager - Remote/Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Manage change control of projects.
• Authorize expenditure commitments and approve payment of invoices.
• Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction specialists, contractors, vendors, and other project support staff/stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks.
• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Manage transmission and distribution projects, ensuring cost-effective, safe, and timely completion to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Serve as the prime interface with clients and other stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to the Project Team.

Qualifications

• Working experience in principles and practices of power/energy engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred.
• Experience in the preparation of proposals for clients.
• Proficient in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Experience with industry-related scheduling systems (MS Project, Primavera).
• Effective communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager on power/utilities/energy related projects is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans and budgets.
• A university degree in engineering. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant experience.
• Transmission and distribution/Hydro experience is considered an asset.
