Product Manager - Hybrid

Product Manager assists in managing the PERI product portfolio; continual development of product expertise; developing relationships across all departments and regions; assisting with product training; and assisting in developing product opportunities and advancements in the market.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Monitoring product/system performance and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications
• Visiting existing customers and potential customers to assess attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions
• Respect working procedure
• Other duties as assigned
• Communicating core positioning and messaging for the product
• Take care of your health and safety and that of the others
• Report hazards and accidents
• Supporting logistics and operations with product specific issues
• Working with material management department on inventory analysis
• Being an expert with respect to the competition. Researching competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising
• Working with Director, Engineering on new product development and/or additions to existing systems to meet the demand of the Canadian market
• Performing product orientation and demos for customers
• Assisting in managing the PERI product portfolio including internal marketing
• Researching national and regional market trends and products
• Providing the sales team with the necessary expertise through, for example, training and the creation of sales tools to assist in selling the product
• Point of contact regarding product group with headquarters
• Use protective personal equipment when required
• Acting as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise
• Maintaining research databases
• Assisting with the development of sales support tools

Education And Qualifications

• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the construction industry; Formwork experience an asset
• Technical knowledge at a level such that you can confidently deal with all levels of customer
• Strong knowledge of all the main PERI systems along with their features and benefits
• Experience with AutoCAD
• A Civil Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent; BS degree in Civil engineering an asset
