Job Overview
An Advanced Analytics Data Analyst will be responsible for solving business problems and discovering business insights using data, summary statistics and visualization to communicate their analyses to technical and business audiences.
Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing processes to find opportunities for increased efficiency
• Collaborate efficiently and co-operatively in a team environment and develop strong working relationships across teams.
• Extract and transform data from relevant sources and assess data quality
• Stay current with new tools and reporting techniques to implement them in the organization
• Clearly document key projects and processes
• Commit to professional development and continuous experiential learning to build cross-functional knowledge and technical skill development
• Handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner and develop efficient and viable solutions
• Perform data analysis to generate insights, visualizations and reports for business units and leadership in a timely manner

Qualifications

• One plus years of relevant data analyst experience
• Ability to work both independently and part of a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex terminology and concepts into appropriate terms for stakeholders.
• Python, AWS and machine learning techniques knowledge an asset
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, econometrics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field [or equivalent work experience]
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel, MicroStrategy, PowerBI or other similar visualization and reporting tools
• Functional knowledge of P&C/Life Insurance lines of business an asset
