While this position may work with all products in the Digital Services portfolio, the primary focus is on the AMANDA software (Advanced Management and Data Automation).

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between our government clients' business needs and the technical capabilities of the AMANDA software platform. Leveraging your 5+ years of experience, along with your advanced SQL skills, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including government stakeholders, software developers, project managers, and quality assurance professionals. Your role will involve gathering, analyzing, documenting, and communicating requirements, utilizing advanced SQL queries, to drive the successful delivery of AMANDA software solutions within the unique context of government processes. Your insights and expertise will be instrumental in optimizing government workflows, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring client satisfaction.

What you're impact will look like :

  • Identify opportunities for software enhancements and process improvements based on government user feedback and evolving needs.
  • Work closely with government clients and stakeholders to understand their specific processes, objectives, and challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements within the gov tech sector.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams tailored to government agencies.
  • Ensure that requirements are comprehensive, well-structured, and aligned with both government expectations and software capabilities.
  • Utilize advanced SQL querying to analyze data and gain insights into government processes, aiding in requirements identification.
  • Analyze and map current and future government processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Coordinate with software developers, project managers, and QA teams to accurately translate government business requirements into software features.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements within the gov tech context.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of AMANDA software solutions for government agencies to ensure alignment with defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of government-specific scenarios.
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize clear and actionable requirements for AMANDA software implementations and enhancements within the gov tech sector.

You will love this job if you have:

  • Proficiency in using requirement management tools and software documentation platforms.
  • Proven experience of 5 years as a Business Analyst, preferably working with AMANDA software or similar enterprise solutions within the gov tech sector.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and project management concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and analyze data effectively.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation within government contexts.
  • Have experience working with remote teams
  • Are fluent in Canadian English and French
  • Proactive and data-driven
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with government clients, developers, and project teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
