We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Technology Services team. This role will collaborate with university departments to enhance business and technical processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead project teams to drive organizational change.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with functional teams, with a special focus on Human Resources, Finance, and Technology Services, to identify and solve business challenges.
• Identify and automate enterprise and departmental system data integrations.
• Contribute to technical and non-technical projects, sometimes in a project management capacity.
• Analyze and streamline business processes, including approvals and e-signatures, using system-specific and enterprise-wide tools like Power Automate.
• Lead new system requirements gathering, selection, and implementation efforts.
• Assist in reporting and root cause analysis with service management tools.
• Provide training to functional teams on enterprise systems administration.
• Perform other related duties as assigned based on departmental needs.

Education:

Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred: Business Analyst certification from either IIBA or PMI

Experience

Required: 4-6 years of experience

Required: Experience with financial, human resources, and other administrative systems and processes

Required: Experience in project teams in various roles

• Adaptability to perform a variety of tasks, often of different natures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of SQL database design and reporting tools.
• Independent decision-making abilities.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Azure/Microsoft 365 products, including Power Automate and PowerBI.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, BPM, TQM, or kaizen continuous improvement.
