Please note all offers of employment are conditional upon obtaining a government of Canada security clearance to the level required by the function. The candidate must be a Canadian citizen and have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 consecutive years.
Purpose of Role: The primary focus of this role is on modelling, documenting and validating business processes and data models to ensure that they are aligned with the processes embedded in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that has been adopted.
This position involves working closely with and being co-located with our clients in DND. The initial requirement for this role is for a contract to 31 March 2024, but it is expected that the contract will subsequently be renewed annually for one or more years. Although this opportunity is aimed at a consultant/contractor, an employment arrangement could also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and validation of documentation describing business processes;
• Review of technical and procedural documentation to provide independent opinions and impact assessment; and
• Development of “as-is” and “to be” models of business processes using QualiWare;
• Preparation of detailed reports on the results of investigations and other activities.
• Investigation, analysis and validation of business processes related to materiel acquisition, configuration management, maintenance, supply and logistics, etc.;
• Development of conceptual and logical data models;
• Investigation and validation of requirements, in support of business process analysis;
• Mapping of business processes against the processes embedded in SAP;
• Information gathering through documentation review, discussions with stakeholders, and group meetings with subject matter experts;

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Business Process Analysis for Government or large corporation(s), including investigation of “as-is” and “to-be” processes through documentation reviews and meetings with stakeholders;
• Proactive and responsive, with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management and multitasking abilities; and
• Analytical and systematic;
• Experience with material management and supply chain logistics would be an asset; and
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• Familiarity or experience with materiel acquisition, maintenance and supply processes employed in the Department of National Defence would be an asset.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing process documentation;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop a good rapport with a variety of different types of people, and able to work independently as well as with a team, with minimal supervision;
• Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
• Excellent English written and oral communication abilities;
• Experience with processes managed through an ERP system - experience with SAP would be an asset;
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Business Process Modeling, including experience with a business processing modelling tool - experience with QualiWare would be an asset;
• Experience with Data Modeling would be a strong asset;
