Role: The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Manager, Product Development and works closely with the project development team in-house and offshore. The incumbent will be responsible for gathering formal requirements from the clients and translating those requirements into clearly defined deliverables for the implementation team. Equisoft/centralize is a powerful back-office insurance agency management system that offers our clients a way to connect carriers' feeds, paramedical data, clients, policies, and more to a single platform. Our workbench solution helps our customers work smarter, provides unique insights, and makes it possible to automate their business processes.    

Your Day with Equisoft:   

• Provide pre-sales support on the product from time to time
• Keep product documentation up to date at all times and contribute to the design of new roadmap functionalities
• Assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate them into a viable design
• Facilitate product demos of completed features and functionality
• Participate in pre-planning sessions with the Development Team Lead and Product Owner to define next sprint priorities.
• Conceptualize business needs and processes into functional building blocks that fit in the capabilities of our existing software
• Contribute to user interface design through collaboration with UI specialists and design low fidelity wireframes and detailed screen specifications activities
• Support the development team during the sprint (answer questions, participate in demos, review test cases, etc.)
• Work closely with the technical lead, product owners and other analysts to document functional specifications 
• Create the needed tasks for the sprint and partner with the Technical Architect and Team Lead to confirm logical task breakdown and other details
• Act like the Product Owner Proxy when needed
• Translate user stories and various unstructured requirements into business, functional and non-functional requirements (with acceptance criteria)

Requirements:    

Technical  

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions
• Proficient in business analysis techniques, including user story creation, process modeling and requirements elicitation
• Proven experience as an analyst in Agile software development projects, preferably in a technical capacity
• Knowledge of the Life and Health insurance industry
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize activities effectively
• 5 years of experience in a similar role with 7 years of experience in software development
• Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise requirement artifacts
