Talent Aquisition Specialist Jobs

Summary

Open to be based in any of our Office Locations (Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal)

We have two open positions. The candidate will drive recruitment initiatives across a wide range of client groups for Canadian or US Business Units based on their region of expertise. They will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day Talent Acquisition function. Not only will they work with our internal client teams; but will also work with the broader Talent Team on initiatives to cultivate our unique culture and people practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop diversity & inclusion mindset throughout the candidate experience to ensure VCNA's hiring process is fair, equitable and inclusive
• Create and execute an external sourcing plan to build a strong, diverse talent pipeline and successfully identify, attract and hire qualified talent via creative talent channels
• Participate in recruitment events when required
• Drive the recruitment project from intake meetings through offer negotiation, backcheck and collaborate with the onboarding team.
• Representing the function of TA effectively throughout VCNA and externally ensuring our brand is protected and profiled in interactions
• Provide best in class expertise and advice in partnership with hiring managers to provide a superior candidate experience, to secure the best talent quickly using effective and efficient workflow management. (Intake effectiveness, job posting creation, data compliance).
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by building business acumen, sharing competitive intelligence, and staying abreast of business/market trends
• Deliver strategic Talent consulting to internal clients within Corporate and Plants across Canada
• Provide regular status updates to Talent Acquisition Manager and Hiring Managers on recruitment for open positions
• Proactively develop pools of qualified candidates in advance of need
• Act as a Trusted Advisor and build strong relationships with the Hiring managers
• Build effective relationships and provide excellent client service by ensuring a positive employee experience

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in managing end to end Recruitment process; Experience in Cement or related industry
• HR Certification similar education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work at all levels of the organization
• Bilingual in French and English is a plus
• Experience with Early Talent Recruitment is an asset
• Strong understanding of the Talent Market
• Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels is a must
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience working with SuccessFactors and/or other ATS systems
