We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned talent acquisition professional to lead our Talent Strategy pillar within the TA function, referred to as Talent Strategy Manager internally to join us in developing and executing innovative talent strategies and solutions to support critical areas of the business.


Reporting to the Head, Talent Acquisition, you will be focusing on managing projects, strategic plans and initiatives, aligned with Capital One’s overall vision and HR strategy. What will you do:


  • Develop and manage key metrics to measure effectiveness of our talent strategies and initiatives
  • Partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition to design and implement talent acquisition strategies to source, attract and hire talent to address the organizational needs of our clients
  • Conduct talent assessments, benchmarking, market research and forecasting to support strategic decision making by developing effective programs and processes to attract top talent
  • Continuously evaluate the TA technology landscape, understanding offerings and developing practical applications that will improve the overall TA operation and experience
  • Manage TA vendors to understand utilization, best practices and future offerings and developing the best technology strategy to synergize all of our recruitment tools
  • Focus on improving the overall experience for candidates, hiring managers and the TA team
  • Lead technology and process optimization and change management, identifying key learning and development opportunities for appropriate stakeholders
  • Lead change management efforts for key stakeholders and customers of the TA organization
  • Leverage data to identify trends and needs, problem-solve in a prioritized way, and measure the effectiveness of programs
  • Partner with the TA Delivery Manager and cross-functional teams to understand business goals and workforce needs to identify strategic talent gaps and make recommendations on how we approach top talent in the market
  • Develop, shape and execute our Campus Talent Acquisition strategy across Canada in partnership with the Head of Talent Acquisition and Talent Brand Manager


What you will bring:


  • Excellent strategic communication skills to influence with data to obtain buy-in from multiple stakeholders
  • Strong bias for optimization and driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to build, leverage and influence strategic relationships at all levels across different departments
  • Proven record in managing change in a fast-paced environment by leading and energizing others and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity
  • Experience in implementing new processes or approaches to continuously improve results
  • Skilled at leveraging internal and external data to develop insights and inform strategic choices and business decisions
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills working cooperatively and collaboratively across business units, functional departments, and other teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and develop efficient workflows
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing innovative solutions as it relates to talent acquisition particularly in niche and competitive markets such as Technology, Data Science, Product and Business Analysis
  • Previous experience with Workday is an asset
  • Experience with a variety of HR systems including implementing an applicant tracking system and/or other technologies and working with recruitment partners/vendors.
