Job Description
Role Overview: Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, this role is based at the corporate office in Toronto and is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Alamos Gold’s talent management strategy. This strategy includes recruitment and related branding, performance management, employee development and retention while emphasizing the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Talent Management in mining or related sector
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • CHRP designation and/or Certified Training and Development Professional (“CTDP”) designation or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Highly motivated and solution- oriented with the ability to promote and lead organization best practice change initiatives
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, written and oral, preferred
  • Experience working in centralized recruiting function
  • Experience facilitating a succession management program
  • Experience in developing and implementing a recruitment strategy and brand
  • Experience developing a learning and development program with focus on leadership development
  • Aptitude for online talent tools
  • Experience in administering a performance management program, including delivering program training
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop the Alamos Gold talent management strategy and roadmap
  • Develop and implement sourcing plan that delivers on diversity and inclusion priorities for experienced and graduate hires
  • Draft an annual talent budget and track actual costs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Deliver existing development programs to build critical capabilities and foster a learning culture, integrating diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout all program design
  • Travel up to 30% of the time
  • Develop key talent metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment (“ROI”) of talent management program
  • Centrally source, pre-screen, and track candidates for key occupations across multiple locations
  • Build on and facilitate succession plan
  • Build on and implement existing performance management program, and foster strong relationships with business, functional, and HR leaders to ensure a focus on maintaining a strong performance culture
