We are recruiting on behalf of a specialty finance and investment organization located in the downtown core, currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to be key player supporting the CFO, managing the fundamentals of financial and operational performance and risk, to ensure integrity of reported results.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Support all fillings with regulatory bodies including securities and stock exchanges

• Manager relationships with external auditors, investigate/address findings and recommendations

• Design, construct and monitor reliable internal control processes and related documentation

• Prepare and approve all reporting in relation to corporate lending relationships and banking

• Monitor sources of liquidity, cash balances and forecasts along with the capital budgeting process

• Constantly strive to improve and establish the gold standard of top-quality information for decision making in finance and operations

• Manage accounting, payroll, legal, tax, treasury and data for finance and operations.

The company is offering a competitive compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and lucrative bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation

• 10+ years of relevant progressive experience (public accounting and industry)

• Track record in developing reporting systems and efficiencies using technology

• Sound business acumen and commitment to governance

• Well-developed project management and leadership skills

• Strong technical accounting skills under IFRS

• Excellent verbal and written communication
