Job Overview
The primary objective of the Talent Specialist in our Toronto location is to conduct proactive online investigations using a wide range of available search platforms to seek out new talent and to provide their profiles to leadership for further assessment. You will be a team player who will collaborate with other Talent Acquisition Support team members, and assist Business Leaders at M Moser by creating a pipeline of exceptional talent for their review and consideration.
To do so, the talent specialist will:
- Work closely with the stakeholders (primarily heads of business units globally)
- Understand their vision and strategy for business growth, which would only be achievable by attractive the right talents
- Utilize your strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to quickly learn and represent our business and ethos, entrepreneurial mindset
- Maintain current job descriptions applicable to the region by updating or creating as needed, co-author with the business leader as necessary
- Screen qualifications of applicants for potentially suitable candidates, summarize key characteristics
- Establish a follow up schedule and connect with potential candidates to keep relationship ‘warm’
- Building a database of candidate profiles
- Review and screen candidates (with relevant background and reference checks if applicable), shortlist and arrange interviews with stakeholders
- Promote awareness within the company of potential talent and generate interest
- Engage in our collaborative approach on projects as a helpful team member who relies on effective communication with Business Leaders and candidates to ensure a seamless recruitment experience for all parties.
At times, this will require you to help spot talents with ‘unconventional’ experiences who have the potential to bring unique skills to the team.
Experience in recruitment is preferred as is an ability to build and maintain strong industry networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen qualifications of applicants for potentially suitable candidates, summarize key characteristics and update stakeholders accordingly
- Updating or creating position descriptions as needed, co-authoring with the business leader as necessary and maintaining these in an organized way
- Participate in strategy discussions
- Establish key words based on qualifications required for more proactive search.
- Enlist guidance from stakeholders as needed in addition to standing check-ins
- Maintain vigilant check on responses from applicants
- Finalize posting of positions per direction of stakeholders
- Industry networking, outside recruitment, and management of postings in online platforms
- Organize stakeholder(s)’ shortlist of potential candidates and assist in arranging further interviews
- Development of a high-level understanding of our business, including specialized service offerings
