Position Scope:
The Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist will be responsible for hiring top talent to fuel the growth of the organization while facilitating a strong employee experience for all employees. This individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment and supporting talent acquisition projects and initiatives. Working closely with the Sales Training Manager and Senior Management, the role provides a “best in class” candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ad Hoc Human Resources responsibilities as requires.
- Create employment documentation including offer letters, employment verification and internal moves
- Support HR on other special projects / talent retention initiatives and other duties as required.
- Work with the Sales Training Manager to analyze People metrics such as time-to-hire, turnover, etc., and provide strategic proposals for improving recruitment and retention metrics.
- Applying a diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) lens across talent attraction and recruitment initiatives, including updating training for hiring team participants.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the entire recruitment process, offering a high-touch experience.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment process in a manner that ensures a positive candidate experience, providing recommendations to the leadership team for process improvement.
- Supporting hiring teams through the recruitment process by creating interview guides that reflect the requirements for each position and providing guidance on applicant screening and interview techniques, as required.
- Implement and administer employee policies
- Manage benefits enrollment and billing
- Administer background and security checks
- Develop Social Media initiatives, to develop employee brand with compelling talent acquisition focus for posts on various media accounts.
- Working in collaboration with the Sales Training Manager and Senior Management to develop long-term talent strategies to ensure recruitment needs of the company are met.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with clients and team members
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
- Exceptional detail orientation and organization skills (with strong sense of urgency and follow up/follow through)
- ‘Can-do’ attitude and proactive, solution-focused individual
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work; achieves results with little oversight
- Excellent organizational skills to oversee and manage all recruiting activities and the ability to report on the status of organizational wide talent acquisition
- The ability to work under pressure, multitasking and prioritizing changing priorities, while collaborating within a fast-paced dynamic team.
- Experienced in leveraging LinkedIn and other recruitment job boards for end-to-end recruitment
- Strategically minded and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in talent acquisition / end-to-end recruitment.
- CHRP/CHRL would be an asset
- Experience recruiting for Sales and Administrative roles.
- A degree/diploma from an accredited institution in Business Administration (Human Resources Management preferred) or equivalent experience.
