The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the global talent strategy in the North America (NAM) cluster, specifically supporting our Owned & Operated (O&O) stores. You will drive the full life cycle recruitment process for O&O stores across Canada in partnership with the retail leadership team.
You will also support the development and execution of strategic initiatives for O&O stores, including but not limited to diversity & inclusion, talent management, succession planning, store acquisitions and new store openings. Inhouse experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist recruiting for high volume positions in retail stores are required.
Your role as a Field Talent Acquistion Specialist :
  • Responsible for creating recruitment strategies, objectives and timelines for new store openings to ensure a fully staffed store prior to opening.
  • Ability to interview candidates in both English and Candian French fluently
  • Works closely with Talent team and retail leaders to support local and global training initiatives
  • Ensures that we are in compliance with the Company’s policies as well as Federal and State laws.
  • Plan, facilitate and/or execute additional projects and responsibilities as needed
  • Works closely with the Compensation Analyst to ensure competitive pay for internal and external candidates.
  • Increases the effectiveness of field succession planning for store management roles
  • Researches, suggests and implements diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and support the delivery of cluster objectives
  • Collaborates with management throughout recruitment and selection process, identifies and resolves any obstacles that may arise
  • Proactively partners with business stakeholders and the Manager, Talent Acquisition to review practices and procedures, determines whether improvements can be made and work to implement changes as appropriate.
  • Positions themselves as the subject matter expert for talent acquisition in O&O by providing best practices and updates to support the attraction and selection of world class talent in stores (i.e. sharing recruitment metrics, industry updates, etc.)
  • Develops an effective partnership with retail leadership teams
  • Develops and manages the strategic, full cycle talent acquisition process for Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers across Canada.
  • Manages the seasonal hiring strategy and process (high volume)

  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational, analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience hiring: Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers etc is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Talent Acquisition best practices and principles
  • 6+ years previous in house recruitment experience as a recruiter/TA Specailsit is essential with a focus on volume hiring within retail stores
  • Experience within a global retail organization is required
  • Strong time management skills and sense of accountability
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with multiple competing priorities
  • Exhibits a natural curiosity of how things are and explores how things could be improved
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and working in the “gray”
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration/Management is preferred
  • HR Certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
Travel Required: Up to 25% depending on business needs.
