Hays has partnered with a respected ICI Construction Management firm out of the Greater Toronto Area who work on various projects including, commercial interiors, heritage, design build, data centre, pharmaceutical construction and industrial. Your new role
The open role is for a Site Coordinator to work on a multi-year project in Mississauga, Ontario. The project itself is commercial in nature and part of a large development on the water in Mississauga. This individual will maintain all site construction administrative duties in support of the Site Superintendent and the Senior Project Manager. They will document and file safety reports, maintain construction logs, read construction drawings, do RFIs and change orders as necessary and deal with sub-trades and suppliers. This Site Coordinator will work from a site office and be on the actual job site daily. They will help with site meetings and meetings with trades along with enforcement of safety procedures. Finally, they will prepare documentation and report back to the main office on any issues and progress.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years as a project coordinator, assistant site supervisor or site coordinator on ICI Construction Projects in the Greater Toronto Area. They will be an excellent communicator both verbally and written and have sound knowledge of best construction practices and safety regulations. The Site Coordinator will have an educational background in construction management or an engineering degree. They will be technically savvy with experience using construction software, have the ability to read and interpret drawings, and conduct reports. They will have a valid drivers license, and preferably have first aid and CPR training. Finally, they will be ambitious to become a Site Superintendent, work well with others as a member of a team, and be passionate about construction.
