Job Description

Summary


You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure efficiency, reliability, and consistency in all activities. This includes material planning and procurement, warehouse, shipping and logistics, production, quality, Lean, contracts, Sales & Operation Planning, facilities and EHS.

In addition, you will be responsible for Grid Automation site leadership to collaborate with cross-functional teams and other GE businesses as it relates to site activities, projects, and programs that support and drive culture, engagement, and well-being, keeping our employees as our top priority and at the heart of everything we do on site.


You will focus on minimizing cost, driving best quality and delivering the highest customer service performance for OTD, while achieving the manufacturing plant’s growth and profit targets in full compliance with GE Guidelines as stated in The Sprit and the Letter. #LI-ML2

Major Responsibilities


  • Responsibility of Facilities and building management functions.
  • Interact with adjacent functions needed to solve issues and drive positive interactions with other GS/ GA Functions, GSC Plants, product lines and regions.
  • Active participation and contribution in GSC meetings and governance related to QMI, GSC dashboard reviews, quality reviews.
  • Lead teams for the complete management of ‘FRONT END’ & ‘BACK END’ processes of Supply Chain including order acknowledgement, delivery confirmation, order follow-up, material planning, procurement, warehouse, shipping & logistics to provide world class Customer service, by having the shortest delivery lead-time and highest delivery commitment reliability.
  • Achieve operational KPIs as per the GSC dashboard focusing on EHS, quality, cost, delivery, and cash targets.
  • Develop partnerships with all functions and employee teams including Grid Automation, GE Hitachi, GE Vernova.
  • Accountable for consistent site communication through traditional and innovative methods.
  • Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented across the site.
  • Collaborate with function leaders and employee resource groups to drive activities designed to shape and foster culture, increasing engagement and achieving positive outcomes for the site.
  • Work closely with the global organization of Region Operations, Quality, Sourcing to resolve day to day issues for smooth functioning of plant and deliveries to customers
  • Lead and drive the manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement culture in the manufacturing plant through implementation of Lean principles and tools.
  • Responsible and accountable for providing strategic direction, planning and execution of manufacturing and supply chain initiatives to achieve set objectives for sales, contribution margin, safety, quality, cost, delivery, and inventory targets.
  • Ensure the deployment of GE Corporate, GE Vernova policies, processes, standards.
  • Identify big opportunities in the plant for process efficiency/cost improvement and initiate/monitor project/actions within the respective teams for VCP and Cost-out.
  • Be a change agent, leading by example and coaching teams for Lean competency and showing the value and benefits of Lean
  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.


Required Qualifications


  • Have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
  • Willing to comply with pre-employment screening.
  • Minimum 5 additional years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing operations position.
  • Experience for Successful team facilitation/leadership or project management.
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience and/or Grid Automation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
