We are currently recruiting two Payroll & Billing Specialists, to be based at either Calgary, Edmonton or Winnipeg International Airport on a permanent, part-time basis (24-32 hr/week) within our Operations Support team.


The successful candidates will ensure the accuracy of payroll and billing information, complete and submit payroll discrepancies and audit pay and bill related data processes for airports across the Prairies region.


Suitable candidates should demonstrate knowledge of workforce management and time & attendance programs, experience in a process driven, regulated environment in addition to strong attention to detail and the ability to manage their workload with minimal guidance.


Due to the nature of this role the work schedule will entail working across weekends.


Duties include, but are not limited to;


  • Improving scheduling accuracy and efficiency through the collation and maintenance of historical data, (e.g. passenger forecasts)
  • Ensuring data accuracy and scheduled time is reconciled to actual time worked
  • Summarizing and presenting billing related KPI's and providing updates on file status
  • Working with the Regional Operations Centre to monitor and maintain files and databases
  • Working closely with Human Resource and training departments to ensure data accuracy cross departmentally
  • Providing support to colleagues when required
  • Working with Training team to provide data support and collaborates on reporting needs
  • Handling payroll discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Working with the Operations team on a regular basis to ensure databases are accurately maintained and information related to incident management reports is gathered
  • Liaising with management and head office to ensure the consistent application of time & attendance processes and the integrity of data
  • Coordinating data on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of payroll and billing information

Required


Skills and Experience


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work to timelines
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, (though training will be provided)
  • Excellent attention to detail, with experience in working to detailed processes and procedures
  • Minimum 2-4 years in a related role demonstrating transferable skills and experience
  • Experience in high volume payroll and billing, including knowledge of workforce management and time & attendance programs


Assets


  • Experience in a heavily regulated, unionized and / or federal environment
  • Experience in auditing, quality and compliance


Requirements


  • 18 years of age or older
  • Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance and Secret Security Clearance
  • No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act, with an employment authorization document
  • Availability to work over weekends
