Join us as an IT Systems Administrator Advisor on our Compute and Connectivity team. This position will be located onsite in Vancouver, BC Canada.

What You Will Do

As an IT Systems Administrator Advisor, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting productivity suite (email, documents) video conferencing, configuration management, identity management, system documentation standards, and client device systems for internal customers. This role will manage all software and hardware systems to support serving as an escalation point for the service desk and actively mentoring them on new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the environments, responding to health alerts for various supporting hardware and software platforms
• Provide support for various cyber threat detection and response cutting-edge applications
• Work with Project Management liaisons to establish tasks and level of effort for project delivery for specialized client requirements
• Install applications, develop scripts, and perform upgrades
• Evaluate, integrate, and test new tools and technologies

What You’ll Need To Succeed In This Role

• 5+ years of experience in System Administration experience
• Bachelor of Science with a concentration in computer science, information systems, information security, math, decision sciences, risk management, engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial), or other business/technology disciplines or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in the IT industry.
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise productivity and collaboration systems such as Microsoft O365, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.
• Understanding of load balancing, TCP/IP, and basic networking skills such as IP, DNS, HTTP

Additional Experience Desired

• Experience with parsing and scripting languages such as Powershell, Perl, VBScript, SQL Scripting, etc.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud experience, AWS or Azure preferred, including cross-region deployment
