Opportunity

At Bloom Finance, our success depends on leveraging technology solutions that help provide products to our clients. We’re seeking an experienced systems administrator who is eager employ and further develop their technological skills. This person will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security and efficient operation of the organization's systems and infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will support our critical systems and assets, help build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing overall IT strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions. Bloom is a completely remote organization and as such, the role will be fulfilled from your Canadian home office with occasional attendance at the corporate office.All candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Core Responsibilities

Monitoring: Daily review and action as required

  • FreshService - discovered softare, new tickets
  • O365 Service Health status (review/action)
  • Azure resources
  • Microsoft 365 security - quarantined emails (review/action)
  • Metallic Backups (review/action)
  • Salesforce health - releases, incidents, issues, and activities (review/action)
  • KnowBe4 - PHISHER submissions (review/action)
  • Monitor performance and capacity of web apps.
  • Monitor current package levels and assist with updates.

Salesforce

  • Assist users with troubleshooting Salesforce issues.
  • Updates to Leads/Opportunities as required / Weekly updating of Lead assignments.
  • Ticket triage and resolution (or escalation as needed) all support tickets related to Salesforce.
  • Provide administrative support for Salesforce.
  • User, permission & licensing management as required.

User Support

  • Windows, macOS, Salesforce and other Bloom tools and platforms.
  • Ticket triage and resolution (or escalation as needed) for all aspects of the organization (Windows macOS, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proactively update hardware and software as required.
  • Provide technical support to end users by promptly responding to their queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving system-related problems to minimize downtime and ensure user productivity.
  • Provisioning & configuring users and equipment.
  • Prepare/action request for equipment or software purchase.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in creating user FAQs and help documents.

Technology Support

  • Talkdesk - User provisioning, flow management and user support.
  • Azure AD Conditional Access
  • Azure Cloud Services
  • Organize, install, and support Bloom's software and computer systems.
  • Microsoft Defender 365 - Review and action alerts and vulnerabilities as required.
  • FreshService - Develop workflows and automations.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and LINUX) - device compliance policies, configuration profiles, access, and updates, app deployment and configuration.
  • Azure AD management
  • Security Awareness (KnowBe4) - develop\deploying training modules and testing campaigns.

System Security/Support

  • Implement and maintain robust security, and access controls, to protect the organization's data and systems from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
  • Work with security vendors and Defender 365 to monitor/action potential issues/alerts.

Technology Evaluation

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies., evaluate potential benefits to the organization, and make recommendations for implementing new or enhancing existing solutions.

Miscellaneous

  • Project work as assigned.
  • Liaise with vendors.
  • Assist with audits as required.


Requirements

  • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
  • Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
