Windows Administrator (3870) Jobs

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Windows Administrator for our client. As a Windows Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows server environment. Your primary focus will be on remote desktop services, including cloud deployment, full RD web deployment, and ADFS configuration. Strong PowerShell scripting skills are essential for this role. Experience with the AWS platform is preferred, but equivalent experience with the Azure platform will also be considered. This is a contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the Windows server environment, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Windows administration.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, streamline operations, and improve system efficiency.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing and resolving system-related issues promptly
• Deploy and configure remote desktop services in a cloud environment, specifically focusing on the 2016 version.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new solutions, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain a full RD web deployment, ensuring seamless access to remote applications and desktops for end-users.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary system optimizations.
• Configure and manage ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) version 2022 to enable single sign-on (SSO) authentication.

Requirements:

• Solid hands-on experience with remote desktop services, specifically in the context of cloud deployment using the 2016 version.
• Proficiency in full RD web deployment, ensuring seamless remote application and desktop access for end-users.
• Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting, including the ability to develop and maintain scripts for automation and system administration tasks.
• Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and managing ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) version 2022.
