Senior Cloud Administrator
Start Date: as soon as possible.
Type of employment: 3-month contract, renewable
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Montreal, Quebec (3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote)

As a senior cloud administrator, you will play a crucial part in the migration process of the organization. Your responsibilities will include ownership of various deliverables related to the migration. These deliverables encompass detailed planning, coordination, documentation, and decision-making throughout the migration journey.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document and manage the coordination of migrations and internal communications with stakeholders.
- Review the migration documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collect detailed migration information, such as system configurations, network dependencies, and software requirements.
- Determine the components and resources included in the migration scope.
- Create a detailed migration plan specific to the engineer's scope, including a low-level plan.
- Document roll-back decisions and actions taken in case of complications during the migration.
- Monitor and track the cleaning and decommissioning process of resources that are no longer needed after the migration.
- Prepare migration post-check documents to document outcomes, verify successful completion, and identify any encountered issues.
- Conduct pre-checks to ensure all necessary prerequisites are met before the migration.
Education and certifications:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or engineering or any other related field.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud administration and VM Ware engineering
- Skill in preparing meticulous migration post-check documents, documenting roll-back decisions, and maintaining comprehensive migration documentation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting VM Ware-related issues, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions.
- Strong skills in identifying and defining the components and resources that should be included in the migration scope.
- Demonstrated ability to address and resolve complications that may arise during the migration process, making informed decision.
- Proven ability to create comprehensive migration plans, including low-level plans, tailored to the engineer's specific scope.
- In-depth understanding of system configurations, encompassing hardware, software, and network dependencies.
- Ability to effectively monitor and track the cleaning and decommissioning process of resources that are no longer required post-migration.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in configuring and managing network resources during the migration process.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with VM Ware technologies, including VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, and related tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in effectively managing and configuring virtualized environments in cloud environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with popular cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Possessing certifications specific to VM Ware or other cloud platforms, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect,
