Designation : Senior Windows System Administrator

Role Purpose :

Working as part of the Compute (Platform) Engineering team within the Infrastructure & Cloud Services organization of Keyloop, we are responsible for delivering the Infrastructure and tools used within our global hybrid cloud locations. Compute related services include, but are not limited to, such areas as Servers & Hypervisor (Dell/HP x86, VMware), SAN (Brocade & Cisco), Storage (Dell/IBM), Backup solutions (Netbackup & Rubrik), Operating systems (Windows, Centos, AIX, IBMi) and back office solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Microsoft Engineer to design and implement the Windows environments within a number of global locations. This is an opportunity to help lead a core part of our infrastructure through generation of recommendations and thought leadership.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering Microsoft Services with security at its core. Analyzing potential opportunities for improvement and provide remediation plans for security vulnerabilities.
• Work as part of a team to define, design and implement the Platform Infrastructure used within our hybrid cloud locations.
• Keep up-to-date with new and emerging technologies that could benefit the services and platform products that Keyloop provide and supply.
• Perform technical POCs and solution validations & recommendations.
• Provide 3rd line support escalation to the Infrastructure Support/Operations teams. Provide technical training to those backline and operations teams as required.
• Master Operating System gold image ownership.
• Support the team in selecting products and partners, providing all necessary documentation for launch, implementation and support of designated products.
• Be involved in data center & infrastructure refresh and migration activities.
• Be “the company expert” and technical authority for the Windows and Microsoft estate.

Essential Skills/Abilities:

• Have delivered programs of work to automate manual activities, applying configuration settings across the enterprise, and centrally deploy systems and tooling.
• Experience of antivirus and endpoint security protection techniques and tools.
• Be able to manage and deliver multiple parallel projects.
• Have experience in designing, implementing and operationalizing technology solutions.
• Have deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and tooling. For example SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager, Active Directory, DNS, RDS and Group Policy.
• Having a basic understanding of SQL Server and VMware products/tools would be expected.
• Have experience of dealing with large scale infrastructure, consisting of thousands of individual servers.
• Exhibit strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
• Have experience of delivering applications via Remote Desktop Services and/or Azure VDI.
• Certificate deployment/management within a Windows environment.

Desirable Skills/Abilities (but not essential):

• Having experience of utilizing Jira for work management and time tracking.
• Experience of using PowerShell or Ansible/Terraform to deliver infrastructure as code.
• As we progress our strategy of moving more workloads to public cloud, an understanding of AWS or Microsoft Azure technologies, tools and services would be a distinct advantage.
• Have experience of SaaS, Iaas & PaaS solutions and offerings.
• Any experience of integrating systems or standardizing technologies due to M&A integration activities would be beneficial.
• An understanding of Privileged Access Management and PKI solutions would be useful.
• Exposure to ISO27001 audits.
• Experience of AV/endpoint security solutions such as Defender or Crowd Strike
