Job Description


The CA IT On-Boarding team is an essential internal service provider for our CA business operations.The primary focus of the team is to coordinate all IT related technical activities so that our new business partners have an awesome first day experience with their IT equipment and software at WSP.


The IT On-boarding and offboarding Coordinators work with the HR department, hiring managers, our IT service partner and with the new hire themselves to ensure that the new employees have their required hardware, account set up and software requirements for their 1 st day. The team also provides necessary quality assurance checks during the off-boarding process by working with our IT service provider and the WSP asset management team to ensure all steps are taken to collect hardware and to make sure accounts are deactivated properly.

A day in the life:


  • Work with new employees on their first day and when requested for about 10 days after their start date to make sure that everything is set up and working properly with their new accounts, hardware and software.Provide training as requested to new employees on how to obtain IT support going forward.
  • Work in partnership with HR and our IT support partner to go through a QA process each week for any off-boarding requests that are either in progress or completed to ensure all IT related tasks for the former employee are done properly and to follow up on with the teams on unfinished tasks.
  • Participate in virtual “IT Chats” to promote the effectiveness of this team with a wider range of CA employees and hiring managers.
  • Provide content and recommendations on process improvements for IT on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Follow documented procedures, conduct quality assurance and follow-up as required for all stakeholders
  • Provide general support to the IT team as requested. This includes attending operations calls and reporting status, working with the business partners to provide quality customer service per the WSP guiding principles when required.
  • Work in partnership with WSP CA HR, hiring managers, our IT service partner to elicit and track all requirements for the new employee before, at the hire start date and for 10 business days after the new employee’s first day.


Provide metrics and perform complete actions to warrant the required onboarding and offboarding Business satisfaction core


What You'll Bring To WSP ...


3+ years working within a corporate IT organization supporting hardware and software management of laptops/workstations/other peripherals.


2-5 years of customer service experience


Experience working with enterprise IT organizations with 5,000+ business partners.


3+ years’ experience working with IT service organizations or other IT 3rd party service providers and partnerships.


2+ years working with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.


This position requires bilingualism (English and French) as you will be collaborating with colleagues and clients at a national level.


Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills this job requires you to work with all levels of employees up to and including C-level hiring managers


Must have proficiency with workstation and laptop operating software. WSP CA mostly works with Dell and HP equipment.


Preferred Qualifications include:


User account and identity set up process including but not limited to the working understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD, security groups, elevated accounts requirements


General understanding of Enterprise IT infrastructure components: Networks, Storage & Servers, Cloud storage and Cloud applications, security, backups, software


Remote desktop access and VPN access


Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, PowerBi and others


General understanding and familiarity of CADD Engineering Software solutions both on-premise and cloud based
