Human Resources Manager Opportunity
Summary:
Our client is seeking a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead their team and support their departments and employees in achieving company objectives related to employee relations, recruitment, training, and talent development. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training programs for all levels of staff.
- Manage the development and execution of specific hiring goals, recruitment strategies and tactics that responds and meets business needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work with the Senior Human Resources Manager in developing effective strategies for improving overall employee retention.
- Execute and facilitate HR training and coaching initiatives to salaried and hourly employees
- Oversee and provide coaching/direction to a team of Human Resources Coordinators and the Recruitment Specialist in their day-to-day duties.
- Provide coaching to Managers on all salaried employee matters including: the conducting of performance reviews, performance improvement plans and providing timely performance feedback
- Manage the end to end process of the hourly relocation within budget
- Work closely with all managers/supervisors to forecast, develop and implement cost-effective strategies for effective sourcing of candidates.
- Participate in and manage audits of essential business systems, such as health & safety, environmental, and compliance programs.
- Act as HR business partner for people managers and salaried employees on all human resources matters and initiatives
- Manage talent development and succession planning processes.
- Supervise and ensure the effective execution of the recruitment and orientation processes including ownership of the hourly labour forecasting tools
- Monitor key HR metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressive HR leadership role.
- CHRP or CHRL certification is preferred.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Experience working in fast paced manufacturing and preferably a multi location environment
