JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global VP of Financial Operations and Systems role is responsible for creating a strategy to ensure global alignment on all key finance operational processes and procedures.

This role is also accountable to scope and develop enhanced global financial reporting capabilities and to ensure technology enablement and system configuration

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and document key finance operational processes and procedures
• Draft a handover document to hand over the capability to the global CFO once completed and implemented
• Scope and develop enhanced global financial reporting capabilities and ensure technology enablement
• Directly support the VP of Finance in the USA based in LA and VP of Finance in Canada based in Vancouver
• Build the change management and implementation plan to roll out the enhanced process
• Scope and develop the SYSPRO Financial System configuration to support the defined processes and procedures
• Develop a strategy to align all regions to the global standards

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven knowledge of financial reporting capabilities, processes and procedures
• Previous relevant experience in a business solutions software development company
• Stakeholder engagement
• Superior people skills; team-oriented, fast learner and very personable
• Strong financial, commercial and strategic projects experience
• Results orientated
• Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
• Detail oriented and efficient
• 8+ years global financial management experience
• English is the required language of work
• The ability to objectively interpret and translate complex information
• Previous experience working for SYSPRO an advantage
• Highly organized with strong ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure deadlines are met
• Excellent reporting skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
• Systems thinking
• High competency level on computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
• Bachelor degree in Financial Management or similar financial post secondary qualification.

This role is a one year contract position
