This is a remote position. Candidates must be in British Columbia to be considered for this role.
This is a permanent and full-time position with a sustainability-focused startup. They are committed to reducing waste and encouraging recycling and redirection through their circular model. If you are an experienced software development manager that is committed to environmental sustainability, please read on!
In this role, you will develop and improve the existing platforms, and make recommendations for new ones. You will help grow the IT team in Vancouver and be a senior leader in the company. You will work very closely with the C-Suite and be a key decision-maker.
You will have a mix of hands-on and strategic responsibilities. You will be tech agnostic and work with a variety of technologies; having React and SQL experience would be nice to have, as they are using those at the moment. Their platforms are hosted on AWS, and they have iOS and Android applications as well.
There are big-picture objectives from the C-Suite, and you will have a lot of autonomy in terms of how you meet those.

[-] Mentor the software development team with technical best practices.
[-] Manage and build the internal software development team.
[-] Review and enhance the current platforms.
[-] Plan, design and implement new platforms in the company that will help grow revenue.
Requirements
[-] Minimum 10 years of experience in Software Development
[-] Proven experience in a leadership / management capacity
