Finance Administrator Jobs

About the Role

RBR is seeking a dynamic Finance Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting financial transactions across the organization, including accounts payable/receivable processes and other financial administration tasks. You will also provide cross-functional support by assisting with various HR functions, such as setting up new employees in ADP Workforce Now, administering benefits, and facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes. Please note this is a 12-month contract with the possibility of permanency.

What You'll Do:

Accounts Payable:

• Clearly log accounts payable documentation for payment processing and resolving discrepancies
• Reconcile corporate credit cards on a monthly basis
• Process employee expense reports
• File and organize vendor invoices and other relevant documents
• Reconcile and entry of vendor invoices (3-way matching of internal PO to internal Receipt to Vendor Invoice) for payment processing
• Correspond with vendors periodically for account statements, inquiries, and resolutions

Accounts Receivable:

• Prepare and send invoices to customers
• Analyze and resolve collection issues
• Assist with customer collections or advance payments

Financial Administration:

• Manage the various financial inboxes
• Assist with month-end close processes as required
• Perform other financial administration duties or projects as required
• Provide data entry support in financial systems

HR Support:

• Initiate HR metric reports and conduct data audits as required
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including updating HRIS/payroll systems and asset retention
• Additional activities and projects as bandwidth permits
• Facilitate and process benefit and retirement program enrollments and changes

Since 1973, RBR has been designing and manufacturing oceanographic instruments in Ottawa, Ontario to measure our blue planet. The effects of climate change are being seen from the ocean’s abyss to the polar ice caps and our sensors quantify this change to support better analysis, improved planning, and more effective mitigation strategies. Our instruments measure water parameters in some of the harshest environments on the planet! They are mounted on underwater drones, dropped out of planes, and sent to the bottom of the ocean – sometimes for years at a time – all in an effort to get precise and accurate data to support climate research!
