Role Description

As our Finance Administrator - AP/AR & Sales Invoicing, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales invoices and financial reporting functions. Your role will extend to collaborating with the Finance, Accounting & Sales teams to ensure smooth processes and handling financial transactions pertaining to sales. Additionally, you'll take ownership of affiliate management, including tracking and managing affiliate payments, and supporting financial operations related to consumer demand. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of financial operations, sales processes, financial reporting and affiliate management.

Responsibilities

• Strong sense of ownership, the inclination for action, urgency and drive.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve and automate financial processes, driving efficiencies and reducing costs.
• Support financial operations related to consumer demand, working collaboratively with the Sales team to optimize financial processes.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Oversee and manage the overall accounts payable and receivable operations.
• Conduct financial reconciliations and ensure accurate recording and reporting of transactions.
• Handle administrative tasks and assist with general office operations.
• Prepare non-traditional reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making
• Manage affiliate relations, including tracking and managing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of sales or leads generated by affiliates.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as U.S. and Canada GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing processes for all sales transactions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaborative skills, solve ambiguous problems, and think in an innovative manner.
• Familiarity with general financial operations and understanding of accounting principles.
• 3+ years experience in A/P, A/R, financial reporting, and processing sales invoices.
• Driven to progress in your career; a lifelong learner who seeks out continuous learning opportunities.
• Previous work experience at a tech or startup company during a period of innovation and rapid expansion.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
• Experience in sales invoicing will be an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in process documentation and ability to use automation tools to improve processes
• Ethical mindset with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Adept at analysis and data-driven thinking; you rely on quantitative and qualitative data and feedback to make well-informed decisions, recognize patterns, and formulate action plans.
